Shopify Payments for Reach guide

This guide walks you through setting up your Shopify store using our embedded solution. The solution allows you to seamlessly integrate Reach into your Shopify store and fully use Reach's Merchant of Record (MoR) features.

🚧

Important

The steps 2-7 require sensitive information, and details have been removed from screenshots. Your Reach Reach representative will share this information during your go-live call.

  1. Configure your Reach API keys.
  2. Deactivate Shopify Payments only if currently using Shopify Payments.
  3. Change the selling entity.
  4. Activate Shopify Payments by the location of the selling entity's country.
  5. Add the bank account.
  6. Turn on the Avalara Tax Compliance app.

👍

Best practice

If your company wants to use the Avalara Tax Compliance app to manage tax compliance, focus exclusively on enabling this application. The app provides comprehensive features tailored for effective tax management. Avalara Tax Compliance is a paid application, and Reach has purchased it on your behalf. Reach will not charge you for this.

🚧

Alternative option

Alternative option: Activating Shopify duties and import taxes is only recommended if you have decided not to use the Avalara Tax Compliance app. This option may suit customers who prefer not to integrate with Avalara. Reach does not calculate or collect duties for any clients. If you turn on this feature, Shopify will calculate and collect the duties on your behalf and charge you a 0.5% transaction fee for the service.

  1. Set up alternative payment methods.
